CLC Newsflash! LCC les Dépêches!

The CLC sends out periodic newsflashes to keep our membership informed of CLC activities and composer opportunities. We currently send out materials in the language in which it is received; our intention in the future, once we have sufficient resources, is to send out messages in both official languages.

The CLC further builds upon a successful inaugural series of professional development workshops in 2008 and another full season in 2009-2010 - "Grant Writing for the Composer" (Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto), "L’écriture pour la voix" (Montréal), "Writing for the Voice" (Victoria, Vancouver), "Cultivating Your Career" professional development session (Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary).

Thanks to the continuing support of our members, funders and community, the CLC will continue to provide excellent professional development workshop programming and opportunities for composers at all stages of their careers, throughout and across Canada in this and upcoming years.

The Canadian League of Composers acknowledges the financial support of the Ontario Arts Council, the SOCAN Foundation, the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage (Canada Music Fund), and the Canada Council for the Arts which last year invested $26.3 million in music throughout Canada.
