The CLC sends out periodic newsflashes to keep our membership
informed of CLC activities and composer opportunities. We currently
send out materials in the language in which it is received; our
intention in the future, once we have sufficient resources, is to send
out messages in both official languages.

flashs d'information pour les informer des activités de la Ligue
et de nouvelles susceptibles d'intéresser les compositeurs.
Actuellement, nous envoyons les renseignements dans la langue
d'origine. Cependant, à l'avenir, nous avons l'intention
d'envoyer les messages dans les deux langues officielles, lorsque nous
disposerons des ressources suffisantes.

The Canadian League of Composers presents:
- Cultivating Your Career
-
A
workshop
for
composers
at all stages of
their careers
This workshop is a new initiative presented by The Canadian League of
Composers designed to foster professional growth for composers at any
stage of their careers. It will take place from 10:00 AM to 5:00
PM on January 23rd, 2010 at the Western Front.
In the Presenters Panel
(10:00AM-12: 30PM), some of Vancouver’s most active presenters, with
national and international connections in diverse contemporary musical
media, will discuss their visions, what they’re looking for, how
composers can put their music forward, and challenges and opportunities
in the changing contemporary music scene. Lunch (12:30PM-1:30PM) is included.
The Composers Panel
(1:30PM-3:30PM) features five freelance composers with many years’
diverse experience discussing financial and artistic survival in
today’s economic climate as well as opportunities in the changing
workplace. From 3:30PM to 5:00PM, Sal Ferreras leads a workshop on self-promotion for composers.

ample
opportunities
to
ask questions, share
their experiences, network, and make connections to the community.
