The CLC sends out periodic newsflashes to keep our membership informed of CLC activities and composer opportunities. We currently send out materials in the language in which it is received; our intention in the future, once we have sufficient resources, is to send out messages in both official languages. GRANT WRITING FOR THE PROFESSIONAL COMPOSERWorkshop to be held in Toronto on September 15th Dear CLC Member, You are invited to attend an exciting new initiative from the
Canadian League of Composers. Are you aware of the money that is
available to you, as a composer? Are you confident in your ability to
write an effective grant or foundation application? The Canadian League of Composers has undertaken a new initiative to bring professional development workshops to composers. The workshops are open to both emerging and established composers who are looking to advance their skills in a variety of fields. The workshop, Grant Writing for the Professional Composer, is to be held Saturday September 15th during the X-Avant Festival at the Music Gallery in Toronto. Michael Jones, Michael Jones, one of Canada's pre-eminent arts administrators, will lead the workshop. As a bonus for early bird enrolment, the CLC is offering $5 off if you book before Tuesday September 4th.
